Moisture Barrier Serum
Give your moisturizer a boost with our Moisture Barrier Serum designed to combat maskne and dry spots. This serum forms a light, water-resistant film that blocks out pore-clogging sweat while sealing in existing moisture for maximum hydration, promoting a visibly smooth and clear complexion.
Ideal for dehydrated skin or maskne, skin negatively impacted by continued use of face coverings: cotton masks, N95, and surgical masks
100% Vegan, Cruelty-Free, Paraben-Free, Fragrance-Free
According to a Consumer Study, 88% of Participants noticed clearer and/or more moisturized skin within a week of use:
"I noticed that my skin was a lot more balanced. I had less dry spots from the places that normally touch my mask and I had far less mask acne than normal. Great product!!!" - Anonymous
"By the 2nd day, I could tell my face was still soft. Even one day when I fell asleep without washing my face. The next morning, my face was still moisturized. I am so happy because the corners of my mouth would get cracked and you could see the dryness on my cheeks. This has been a Great Week!" - Anonymous
"Since wearing a mask I noticed dryness and mask acne but once I use the moisture barrier I had no mask acne & my skin felt moisturized even when I wasn’t wearing a mask on my day off" - Anonymous
DEHYDRATED SKIN: We usually think of skin in terms of dry, oily, normal or a combination of those but all skin ultimately needs water. Most modern toners, serums, and moisturizers are great at hydrating the skin but not at sealing in moisture due to products now being made without pore-clogging, petroleum-derived mineral oil or silicones. We instead use a patented, biodegradable and skin-friendly polyester designed to gently adhere to the skin’s surface ton form a thin barrier that not only blocks out moisture from the environment but locks in moisture already present in the skin. This reduces trans-epidermal water loss (TEWL) and keeps the skin supple throughout the day.
A: Maskne is short for mask acne but isn't limited to that. If your face covering has irritated your skin, made it dryer, or causes you to break out, that's what we call maskne. You can read more about it here
2. Can I use it if I have oily skin?
A: Definitely. Dehydrated skin and maskne isn't limited to dry skin types. Our testers with oily skin noticed less oil production because often times our skin produces extra sebum to compensate for lack of hydration.
3. Will this layer well under makeup?
A: Absolutely. The serum is readily absorbed and provides a smooth surface perfect for makeup application.
4. Will this work in hot, humid clients as well?
A: It will. The serum was consumer tested in various climates from dry, arid areas to humid subtropical regions.
4. Can this repair a damaged skin barrier?
A: This serum is designed to hydrate and seal but not to repair compromised skin barriers. We don't recommend applying to broken or damaged skin.
